About M.COM Program

The Master of Commerce (M.Com) is a Post Graduate Degree focusing on advanced studies in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, and Business Management. A two-year post-graduation program under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) designed for students to expertise in Financial Practices, Corporate Strategies, Taxation, Market Analysis, etc. The specialization subjects include Accounting, Taxation, Finance, Insurance, Banking, and Marketing Management. This program is often pursued by those seeking higher managerial positions or considering doctoral studies in Commerce or Management. Candidates with B.Com, BBM, or BBA Degrees recognized by the Universities can apply for admission to the M.Com Program.

1The Postgraduate Department of Commerce, under the Sankalpa Forum and in collaboration with the Career Development Centre (CDC) of PES Trust, successfully conducted an Employability Training Program for final-year M.Com students. This program was designed to enhance the employability skills of students by equipping them with essential quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, resume-building, and interview skills. The training was spread across two schedules, covering a total of seven days.

The theme for the event, "Educate, Identify, and Choose Wisely – Original vs. Fake Products," aimed to create awareness among students about their consumer rights and responsibilities. The event also emphasized the importance of making informed choices in a market flooded with counterfeit products.
